Invest Glasgow

Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city with a population of more than 635,000, sitting at the centre of a metropolitan region of 1.85m which generated £48bn GVA in 2021.

Glasgow City Council’s inward investment team, Invest Glasgow, provides a single point of contact for all companies and intermediaries interested in investing in the city and the wider city region, and works closely with partners across the city opening up collaborations and partnership opportunities.

As Glasgow’s dedicated Investment Promotion Agency (IPA), Invest Glasgow offers comprehensive business support and guidance, providing one point of contact to all businesses, property investors, developers or individual talent considering investing, setting up or expanding in the city. 

Invest Glasgow works closely with an array of partner organisations to provide potential investors with a comprehensive ‘Team Glasgow’ investment and business support offer and is committed to increasing inward flows of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) which may bring both direct and indirect local economic benefits.

Glasgow City Region is as the largest integrated economic region in Scotland, with around a third of Scotland’s output, business base, research power and employment. It is one of the largest city region economies in the United Kingdom and is now firmly established as a global business destination.
